Facebooks ads terminology can be confusing so it’s important to have a good grip on what exactly you’re looking at! Otherwise, you’re left guessing and likely running high cost ads. Nobody wants that!
Here are 5 common terms you’ll hear regarding facebook ads, what they mean and how they’ll help you in running successful ads!
A pixel is simply a piece of code that is installed on your website and funnels. This allows Facebook to gather information about your traffic and in turn helps you better target an ideal audience. This step is absolutely crucial for running successful Facebook ads.
Retargeting is a strategy that allows you to target people who have already visited your website or funnel. This audience is already warm so you can utilize different ad strategies and get your audience to the “know, like, trust” stage faster.
Conversion are actions that customers or clients complete. This can change depending on what your goal for the ad is: booking a call, making a purchase or signing up for a lead magnet.
An A/B Test is a split test that helps you know which ad, or aspect of an ad, is preforming better. It’s important to A/B test your creative, copy, headlines and targeting and test them often.
Your click through rate (CTR) is the percentage of people who clicked on your ad from those who saw it in their feed (or stories, sidebar, etc.). A good CTR is generally 1% or higher, between 2-5% is great! If you’re under 1% keep on testing those ads!
